Learning Analytics: Thought Leadership in 280 characters
Given free reign, I was asked to identify an active social media commentary. A day or two after the brief, I encountered a topical post on Bluesky by Mark Hamill with the hashtag #twentyfivefortyseven. This analysis then morphed into a larger exploration of how thought leaders use social media to engage political discourse. I did data analysis on a Youtube interview with Henry Giroux talking on the same subject and compared and contrasted the commentaries. The presentation shown below was the result of my research*.
Further work will be done on this topic into November 2025 with a focus on the use of emojis as a form of non-verbal affective communication.
